At Tisane Tea Room we are proud to make our own Chocolate Powder blends with quality ingredients.
Thicker than your usual Hot Chocolate and Oh So Luscious because of it!
Chocolat noir – richer and slightly sharper than the au lait, but smooth a with a satisfying finish. Rich dark chocolate paired with sea salt, cinnamon and black pepper.
Cocoa Powder, Arrowroot Powder, 70% Dark Chocolate, Dark Brown Sugar, Cinnamon, Sea Salt, Black Pepper
*As we have a specialised milk heater in the Tea Room and you may not at home, our best suggestion is to make this Hot Chocolate in a small pan as simply mixing with hot milk may not 'cook' the ingredients through enough to give our signature thick and velvety finish.
For every 200ml Milk (Cows, Almond, Soy, Coconut etc) we add in 3 heaped tablespoons of powder - to make it a little less rich, try adding 2 tablespoons if you like - warm half the milk in the pan over medium head and add the powder - whisk well to combine and remove any lumps - before adding the rest of the milk.
Simmer gently, but not boil, for 2 minutes then remove from heat.
Pour into your favourite Mug, wrap your hands around it, put your feet up and then sip and enjoy!
Best not to rush this experience we find.
*we got on average 6-7 serves per jar but this will vary depending on the amount of powder used per serve
